Anne Brownie  receives the Liz Miskimmin Friendship Quaich from  Lizee McGraw

Midland Vets took on the East Vets on a beautifully manicured Stirling Golf Course with excellent  greens and the grace of the famous castle in the background.  Very competitive golf was played in glorious windless weather and the results of each match were eagerly awaited at the 18th.  Finally the East star shone brightly and  Midland lost the Liz Miskimmin Friendship Quaich to an extremely happy  East team  by 4/3.  
Stirling Golf Club rounded off the day with a tasty meal served by lovely young and attentive staff.  Well played all and special thanks to VC Lorna who travelled over from Fife in support.

Our last Divisional Match takes place on Monday 22nd May against West Vets at Auchterarder.  The first tee time  is 10.40am
There will be bacon rolls and coffee before the match and a two course meal afterwards.

MIDLAND V NORTH 11/05/2017

Blairgowrie provided ideal weather for our first match of the season which was hotly contested by both North and Midlands with matches swinging both ways until finally a DRAW was declared!  As holders of the  Inter-Divisional Trophy, Midland retain it.
The matches were played  on a testing Lansdowne course in a friendly spirit with the ball rolling great distances on fast fairways, combined with true greens.  An excellent meal rounded off the day.  
Thank you to the team and also to our own Emma Wilson, President of the SVLGA, who came to cheer on the players.

The 2nd Divisional Match of the year  will take place  on Thursday, May 18th at Stirling for the Liz Miskimmin Friendship Quaich, which Midland won last year. This match is for players with handicaps 6-9 and the team is:
