Results of Jamboree at Wellingborough

Unfortunately Scotland did not retain the Miller Stirling Trophy at Wellingborough this week.  The winners were South and runners up were Midlands.  Scotland were 3rd with North bringing up the rear as 4th.   A disappointing result for Scotland, but our Midland Vets representatives played well.  Hopefully Scotland will fare better in the Senior Home Internationals.

Match vs East Vets - Tuesday 2nd August - Midland Vets retain Quaich

The re-arranged match with the East Vets team for mid handicappers(6-9approx) took place at Dunfermline Golf Club today.  The team was playing to retain the Liz Miskimmin Friendship Quaich, the trophy that our late President Liz donated last year  for this friendly match.

The weather was rather wet, but warm, and there was no wind.  It was played in very friendly spirit just as Liz had intended. Midland Vets retained the trophy by 5 games to 2.   Our team was supported by Captain Emma Wilson and Vice Captain Winifred MacCallum and the East Vets team was supported by the playing Captain Noreen Fenton.   Results
