Pat Bow, Past Captain, is due to stand down this year after serving 3 years on the Committee, which creates a vacancy on the Committee. The Committee will be looking to hopefully see members stepping forward to contribute to the running of our Division.

INTERNATIONAL DUTY CALLS

 Lorna McKinlay and Elaine Moffat

You may have noticed that the above two ladies were not playing at Strathmore last week.  The reason was that both have been selected for the forthcoming Home Internationals, due to be held on 19th-21st September 2023 at West Kilbride and Tuesday 29th August was a practice day  for the team.

I wish to express my congratulations to both and I'm sure all the ladies from the Midland Division extend their best wishes to them and hope the Scottish team have a great tournament.

The first week in September is also going to be a busy time for both ladies, with Lorna flying off to play in Sawgrass, following her winning a hole in 1 competition.  I'm sure she will enjoy her week in the USA.

Elaine has also been selected for the Senior European Team to play between 5th-9th September at the Parador de El Saler Golf Club, Valencia.

Again well done to you both. You are certainly keeping the Midland Division on the Golfing map and calander.
