Scottish Golf has been working on creating a Senior Womens Order of Merit and a Senior Womens selection policy for 2016 which will cover selection for the European Team Championships and the Home Internationals. FOUND AT BRAEHEAD

Following our Spring Meeting at Braehead, the Club has advised us that they found a ladies purple Nike hat with the name Moira on the back, and a black body warmer with the logo Perth & Kinross LCGA Centenary Year.

SPRING MEETING, BRAEHEAD ALLOA 21/04/ 2016

What a beautiful sunny day for our first Meeting of the year at Braehead, Alloa.  The course was in really fine condition for the time of year and most ladies said they enjoyed playing it.  The overall winner of the  Allan Trophy was Bronwen Godley of Blairgowrie, playing in her first Vets Meeting. RESULT : SCOTTISH VETS v IRISH VETS

Ireland  retained the  Mary KcKenna Salver at Lahinch on Sunday 18th April by a margin of 10 - 2.  It was the seventh Irish victory in a row, surpassing Scotland's six consecutive wins from 2003 to 2009.
Ireland now lead 10 - 6 in the series which began in 2000.

DRAW FOR SPRING MEETING 2016


Our first Meeting of the year takes place on Thursday 21st April at  Braehead (Alloa) and we are delighted to  have a field of 93.  There are some new members to the Midland Vets, so do please give the new ladies a warm welcome. 
The Draw for the  Blairgowrie  meeting in September will be done at the Spring Meeting by Captain Shelagh Quinn.

MIDLAND VETS SELECTED FOR THE IRISH MATCH

Congratulations to Lorna Bennett (Ladybank), Fiona de Vries (St Rule) and Lorna McKinlay (Dunnikier Park) on their selection to play for Scottish Vets against Irish Vets in the annual contest for the Mary McKenna Perpetual Trophy at Lahinch Old Course, County Clare, Ireland on Sunday April 17 and Monday April 18.
