IRISH MATCH HONOURS FOR OUR MIDLAND VETS PLAYERS

Many congratulations to Midlands Vets Fiona de Vries, our Champion, past Champion, Lorna McKinlay, and new member, Elaine Moffat, on their selection for the SVLGA's Team to play against the Irish Senior Ladies' Team for the Mary McKenna Perpetual Trophy at Royal Belfast GC on 7th-9th April 2018. The other members of the team - which will be captained by Ellie Whyte (Northern) -are; Jennifer Bryans (East), Gillian Kyle (West), Lesley Lloyd (West), Frances Millar (Northern),and Sheena Wood (Northern).

Fiona and Lorna are established members of this Team but this will be Elaine's debut. Midland Vets wish Fiona, Lorna, and Elaine and the entire team the best of luck in successfully defending  the Trophy they won last year at Murcar Links. What is certain is that they will have a great time!

SNOW - AND LOTS OF IT!

Ladies, this was the early morning scene at Blairgowrie Golf Club today,  where  we shall be holding our first Meeting of the year over the Rosemount course on April 17th.....only 6 weeks away!
Now that we are into March, our thoughts are turning to the new season.  Thanks to all who have  renewed their subscriptions and already entered the first Meeting. You can see the entries to date on the right hand column of the Blog.
A reminder, too, that if you wish to register for the Ballot for the SVLGA Meeting at Blairgowrie on Monday  24th and Tuesday 25th September, please advise the Secretary by March 31st. The draw will be made on April 1st by the Captain and Vice-Captain.
