MIDLAND TEAM AGAINST THE NORTH DIVISION

The SVLGA (Midland Division) is defending the 'Inter-Divisional Match Trophy' against the SVLGA (North Division) at Alyth Golf Club on Thursday, 12 May 2022.   

This  Trophy was first won by the North in 1959 and has been contested every year since, except 2020.

SUMMER MEETING & CHAMPIONSHIP

 Entry is now open for the Summer Meeting and Championship at Dunblane New Golf Club on Tuesday 28 June 2022.  

We will be playing for the Donaldson Quaich (Best Nett) and the Poppy Paperweight (70+)

The Trophy for the Championship is the Lady McInnes Shaw Cup.

The top 8 scratch scores qualify for the Championship.   The quarter finals are played in the afternoon of Tuesday 28 June and the semi-finals and final played on Wednesday 29 June.

Entries must be accompanied by payment of the entry fee of £15.   Payment can be by BACS or cheque (see Form for more details).

Note:  The Meeting is played in Handicap order so we can't accommodate travel requests.

If the event is oversubscribed, places will be determined by the earliest date of paid entries received.

RESULTS OF SPRING MEETING AT ALLOA GOLF CLUB ON MONDAY 18 APRIL 2022

 Here are the lists of Results and  Prize Winners from our Spring Meeting held at Alloa Golf Club on Monday 18 April 2022.   71 Members played on what started as a  chilly morning, and apart from a very short shower, the day remained bright and dry.   The course was in very good condition.   Alloa has many fabulous views of the Ochil Hills but some of the holes are frustratingly tricky to the unfamiliar golfer!   Well done everyone!

Congratulations to Helen Ewen of Muckhart Golf Club winning the Allan Cup for the Best Nett Score of 69.   The best Scratch Prize was won by Lorna Bennett, from Ladybank Golf Club, with a Gross 78. Excellent Scores.

We are moving into a very busy time of the Year.   We have the:

Match against the East Division at Ladybank Golf Course on Thursday 5 May 2022.   This is a Scratch Match for Players with Handicaps from 5.5 - 9.4.  The Team will be selected from available players in handicap order on Thursday 21 April 2022

Match against the North Division at Alyth Golf Course on Thursday 12 May 2022.   This is a Scratch Match for Players with Handicaps from -10 to 5.4   The Team will be selected from available players in handicap order on Thursday 28 April 2022

The last Match against the West Division at Glenbervie Golf Club is on Thursday 26 May 2022.   This  is a Scratch Match for Players with Handicaps of 9.5+   Handicaps are still volatile.   The Team will be selected on 12 May 2022 - still time to get out there....

Spring Meeting at Alloa Golf Club - Draw

Check-In

All players please Check-In at the Ladies Locker Room and return cards here at the end of your game.

Catering Arrangements

·        Tea/Coffee machine is situated in the main lounge

Please note it is CARD payment only

·        All players arriving before 11.00a.m. and wishing Rolls etc please note that the Kitchen is upstairs and you will have to order directly with the Caterer.

·        After 11.00a.m. all Catering requests can be placed at the Bar where Angela will be delighted to help.

 

We would also like to make you aware that Monday 18^th April will be the first day that Corrine, the Caterer, starts work at Alloa Golf Club.

You may therefore be asked to pre order any meals prior to your game to assist the Caterer and help service go more smoothly.
